It's my turn!

I decided that I wanted a scrappy quilt. I also decided that we should do something fun so we are going to do the Disappearing 9 Patch. Does everyone know how to do one? I put together a slide show to help you out. The important thing is finding the exact centre lines. I would appreciate that when you turn the blocks, please keep them similar to mine. My centre block was divided into 4 little ones, I left two i the centre area and turned the other miniblocks so what was the centre fabric was in the outside corners. Make sense? You will all be sent 9 charm squares...hows that for easy? I'm using the Moda charm pack called Wildflower Serenade by Kansas Troubles. Just lay it out in a pleasing manner to you and have fun sewing. These will be going out next week to you. Have fun! Vivian

Hi ladies! I am indeed alive and I am playing catch up this week. I will be sending out blocks on Saturay.

Addresses, oh yeah

okay-I will admit it, I am a cluttering personality. Add to that all the unpacked boxes from my mother-in-law's house, Lill's move back from Providence before Tempe, Sarah's recent move back from school and everything that got shifted when the laundry tub overflowed and flooded the family room, I can't find ANYTHING in my house.

To insure your June block parts get mailed to you and not something I think might be your address, please send current addresses to my email: sno.wear1@gmail.com and your squares will be on their merry way. By the time we try this again, I should have my sewing room set up with a filing cabinet and desk, and I can be organized in at least one area of my life!

June is busting out all over, sort of

Well, craziness aside, this seems like it will be a very simple thing for y'all. These blocks will form the basis of a quilt for Lillian-number 1 daughter, and she wants a simple pinwheel design. You will be receiving: four 7 inch squares, two print and two solid.


Cut them into right angle triangles:


then sew one print to one solid.


Square them to 6 and 1/2 inches, then sew together to make the pinwheel-



or not, you can send them back to me if you want to. I'll be adding a border and maybe playing with some other things, depending on how big she wants it.

If you have any questions, just ask. These are going out tomorrow mid-day (assuming I can find my address labels...), as I have to work and can't go to the post office until lunch time.

Dear bee-ers, thanks so much for your continued patience!! Between Lou's stroke, his double pneumonia and congestive heart failure, then Sarah's commencement in Rhode Island, I have not been able to get anything together in any kind of timely manner. then, my trusted neighbor did not mail out Liz's package as I'd hoped-but she had a good reason, she broke her foot and can't tolerate a walking cast. So, I hope to cut material tomorrow after work, and into the mail on Tuesday. then, maybe, I'll get to see my own sewing machine again....
